Energy Savings Analysis Report also known as an “Energy Audit” is paramount in order to properly determine and prioritize the most cost effective measures that will significantly reduce your utility bill and at the same time increase the comfort, health and safety of your home.

A comprehensive inspection and analysis is performed with a detailed written report that includes a complete cost analysis of each recommended measure. For more information see Inspection Procedures

 

 OPTIONS: Energy Savings Analysis Reports

I: Complete Inspection and Written Report:

  • Determine current levels of insulation in the floor, walls and ceilings.

  •  Inspect all windows and exterior doors.

  •  Determine hot water tank efficiencies and condition of piping.

  •  Check efficiency factors of heating and cooling mechanical equipment.

  •  Check efficiency factors of appliances.

  • Check for lighting loads.

  • Check for Phantom electrical use.

  • Check interior relative humidity levels.

  •  Check crawl space and perimeter areas for moisture and drainage issues.

  •  Check condition of roof and gutter system.

  •  Energy Upgrade California Health and Safety Inspections required for Energy Upgrade California rebates: (i) Check all readily accessible gas piping for leakage. (ii) Check all gas appliances for combustible gas leakage. (iii) Check for carbon monoxcide levels in the home. (iv) Check for air tightness between attached garage and home.
  • Test for and determine the amount of air leakage through the ducting of the heating/cooling. (On the average ducts leak 30%)See FAQ: Duct Testing

  • Test for and determine air tightness of the entire Building Envelope including air leakage through gaps around doors, windows, electrical outlets/fixtures, plumbing extrusions, access panels, framing and trim members. See FAQ: Blower Door Test

  • Please note: The Blower Door Test is required under the California Energy Upgrade Proram


II: Inspe
ction and Certified Written Report for
:

IV: Inspection and Verbal Report for:

  • Determine current levels of insulation in the floor, walls and ceilings.  

  • Inspect all windows and exterior doors
  • Check efficiency factors of heating and cooling mechanical equipment.

  • Check efficiency factors of appliances.

  • Check for lighting loads.

  • Check for Phantom electrical use.

  • Check interior relative humidity levels.

  • Check crawl space and perimeter areas for moisture and drainage issues.


**Neither the Duct or Blower Door Tests will be performed**
